Mrs. Abiodun Ademola is an accomplished pharmacist with over a decade of experience within the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom. After earning her Master’s in Pharmacy from the University of Reading in 2010 and completing her training in 2011, she embarked on a career that has seen her grow into a leading figure in antimicrobial stewardship (AMS). As a Senior Pharmacist, she has led AMS teams across various hospitals, pioneering initiatives to enhance prescribing practices that improve patient care and reduce the inappropriate use of antibiotics. Her dedication to this cause was nationally recognized in 2019 when she was nominated by the Nigerian Healthcare Professional UK (NHCPUK) for the NHS@70 Excellence Award.
Beyond her clinical roles, Abiodun has expanded her expertise through additional postgraduate qualifications, enabling her to practice at an advanced level. She is also committed to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals, with extensive experience in mentoring, teaching, and supporting colleagues across the healthcare sector. Her collaborative work with healthcare stakeholders on regional, national, and international levels has solidified her reputation as a leader in the global fight against antimicrobial resistance, driven by her unwavering commitment to impactful, patient-centered care.
